Purampokku!

Purampokku = Puram (outside) + pokku (wayward path)

Wondering where I can find such linguistic insights on more specific Madras tamil slang words like Aapu adchichu, Aalinaal Alaguraaja, Aathaadi, Baadu', Baeku, Biscothu, Bittu, Gaali, Galiju, Iskool, Kabodhi, Kamnatti, Kasmaalam, Matteru, Paruppu, Takkar, Thodda, Yechakale etc.. ? The answer is WiKiPedia.

Madras slag is getting world renown!

Karthik, verya yaru, enna mathiri vettis than.

Usha, yes you are correct. But generally its an encyclopedia written collaboratively by many of its readers which goes through repetitive editing to make it better/accurate. Inappropriate changes are usually removed quickly, and repeat offenders are blocked.

But my point was, its a website that gets a lot of hits everyday. And someone had the patience and time to collect and post info on Madras Slangs. And therefore world wide reception will be there.

Oruvela, namma Ashokism-a irruparo?? :) Kettu pakanum!
